I am an associate professor in the Department of Civil & Environmental Engineering at the Pennsylvania State University. My group works at the interface of environmental engineering, water resources, and biogeochemistry. We are interested in understanding complex interactions between flow, transport, and multi-component biogeochemical reactions in natural systems at multiple spatial and temporal scales, with applications relevant to understanding and predicting processes during contaminant reactive transport and bioremediation, non-point contaminant sources, nutrient transport, geological carbon sequestration, and biogeochemical cycling. We use both experimental and modeling tools.
